Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The contest is open to any legal US resident, 21 years or older, except for the following:  
a)     Residents of California, Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories or possessions;
b)     Employees or members of the Rías Baixas Albariño US Board or Commercial Office of Spain and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their immediate families.
c)     Professional chefs, defined by deriving more than 75% of their income from employment in the culinary arts

2 Recipes must be submitted by amateur chefs to win. To enter, simply visit the Rías Baixas Albariño website at www.riasbaixaswines.com and enter your recipe on the official entry form on the web site. Complete the form by filling in all other required information, including a short paragraph (max 50 words) on why Albariño wines are a perfect pairing for your recipe. Submit your entry by clicking on the 'Submit' button

Online entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. You may also enter by typing your recipe on a piece of paper, along with your name, complete mailing address, email address, date of birth and daytime telephone number. Mail entry to: Rías Baixas Albariño Recipe Contest, c/o Cornerstone Communications, Ltd., 575 Madison Avenue, Suite 1006, New York, NY 10022-2511.
3 With each entry, clearly print or type your name, mailing address, phone number, email address (if applicable) and original recipe.
4. Entries must be your original recipes that is complemented and enhanced when served with a Rías Baixas Albariño wine. No previously published recipes. Recipes will be judged on creativity (30%), taste (40%), and practicality (30%) by members of the Rías Baixas Albariño US Board. If possible, please include a digital photograph of the prepared dish.
5. Contest ends at 12:00 midnight EST, November 30, 2009.
Online entries must be received by 12 Midnight. EST, November 30, 2009. Submissions will not be accepted after this time.

Three winning recipes will be selected by the judging panel. The 3 winners will be notified on or after December 31, 2009.

Entries will not be returned. All copyright rights of winning recipes belong to the Commercial Office of Spain. We reserve the right to adjust winning recipes.

8. Entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names for editorial and promotional purposes, except where prohibited by law. The top 3 winning entries will be posted at http://www.riasbaixaswines.com under Recipes.
9. Cornerstone Communications assumes no responsibilities for entries that it is unable to process due to phone, network, electronic, or computer hardware or software failures, or technical failures of any kind.

Prizes: One grand prize winner will receive two tickets to the 36th Annual People’s Choice Awards® in Los Angeles which includes transportation, overnight accommodations (Valued up to $1,500), and dinner for two at The Bazaar.   Two runner-up entries will each receive a $250 Williams-Sonoma® gift card. All three of the top winners will have their recipes featured on the Rías Baixas Albariño website.  The 2008 finalist recipe that receives the most online votes will also win a trip to the 36th Annual People’s Choice Awards®.  Vote for your favorite recipe from 2008 and automatically enter a drawing to win a trip for two to the 36th Annual People’s Choice Awards®.  Both prizes include transportation and overnight accommodations. Prize will be sent by UPS. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Winnings subject to all U.S. federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Taxes on prizes are the responsibility of the winners.
