Somms Taste Aged Albariño, Sparkling and Reds from Rías Baixas
Rías Baixas is best-known for their crisp, refreshing Albariño white wines, but there is more to discover than ever before. On April 2, Advanced Sommelier Yannick Benjamin and Master Sommelier Michael Meagher led media and somms on an exploration of a full range of wines, including 8-year old Albariño añadas, sparkling and red selections. The dynamic duo shared insights from their recent tours of the region and ended the event with an exquisite food and wine pairing lunch created by the team at Legacy Records in New York. Rías Baixas Albariño Heading to Aspen for the Food & Wine Classic
Calling all food and wine lovers! Rías Baixas will travel to Aspen for the celebrated Food & Wine Classic. Scheduled for June 14-16, we’ll present a range of Albariño in the Wines from Spaintent for attendees to taste and talk about during the festival. Foodies and wine lovers flock to this yearly event as a kick-off for summer. In addition to wine tastings and seminars, there are cooking demos and competitions, led by the who’s who of the culinary and wine worlds.
