Wine Enthusiast Magazine has announced its 18th Annual Wine Star Award Nominees and Galicia, home to the region of Rías Baixas, is among the prestigious group of wine regions from around the globe that were chosen for recognition. According to the editors, among the reasons behind selecting our renowned region of Spain is delicious, well-priced Albariño: “Racy, refreshing and aromatic, Albariño has put Galicia on the wine lover’s map. In this distinctive region, they speak Galician, eat enormous amounts of seafood, and appreciate fine wine.”

We are thrilled by this honor and are hopeful that because of the affection wine lovers worldwide have for Albariño from Rías Baixas, the region of Galicia will be Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s 2017 Wine Region of the Year.
